"Purchased a gift card -- and it cant be used. But my acct was charged."
"I ordered a digital gift card in mid-December. It wasn't received by Christmas. I waited until January 1, but it still wasn't received. I sent an inquiry to TOMS on January 2, but received no reply. However, I received an inquiry from TOMS about how they did with their order, so I clicked on "Didn't receive the gift yet?" and got an automated webpage with still no follow up within three days after that. It turns out that TOMS has a phone! I found the number on my credit card statement (because TOMS HAD charged me for the gift card on December 14), so I called that last night and a customer service rep answered and helped me, saying that they'd re-send the digital gift card within 30 minutes, confirming the recipient's email address (which I'd also confirmed with the gift recipient twice). Almost 24 hours later, she still hasn't received it in any of her email folders. What a disappointment."

"I am VERY disappointed with how this was handled. . I bought the gift card and got my receipt showing I paid instantly. However, it took DAYS to get an email with the gift card info. I was so embarrassed that I could not provide the person getting the gift card with a decent email announcing the card. Instead I had to send them an email after 3 days with just a number and a code. So unprofessional and I will not be buying gift cards from Tom’s again."

"TOMS sent me the email, not the gift recipient, and it had no codes or pins to open the virtual gift card. redirected to intended recipient, again without codes or pins. finally, after six emails and two phone calls, my daughter-in-law got the codes and pins. next time we want to give her a gift from TOMS, a brand she adores, it will be a pre-paid VISA card."
